Events Diary

SUBCON is the annual reunion and Annual General Meeting of the Submarines Association Australia and traditionally rotates around the country. It is held over the eastern states' Queen's Birthday Long Weekend in June and in 2012 it will be hosted in Tasmania.

The programme of events covers four days from Friday, the 8th to Monday the 11th of June and includes the traditional Reunion Dinner on the Saturday night following the AGM in the afternoon.

	SA	ANZAC DAY	Dawn Service: 06:00 at Port Adelaide Naval Association, Quebec Street. Breakfast available on completion. Free bus - Port Adelaide to Adelaide for the March. Anzac Day March: March commences at 09:30 – although we will probably have to wait some time after that. Muster for the March on the eastern side of Pultney Street between North Terrace and Rundle Street. Reunion: Metropolitan Hotel, 46 Grote Street, Adelaide. On completion of March, bus from corner King William Street and Memorial Drive to the Metropolitan Hotel. Fare: Gold coin donation. Meal and drink booklets will be on sale to SAA members for $25.00. 	NSW	ANZAC Day	Muster: 0830 in Castlereagh St (South) near King St (look out for the bright blue banner or the WRANS). Parade: Fall in at approximately 0900, step off at 0915 (approximate) for the march past the Cenotaph and down George Street. On completion of the March meet upstairs at the Strattons Hotel (249 Castlereagh St) for Refreshments and Tot. Contact Ken Norris (Secretary) (0421 058 513) for further information.
	WA	ANZAC DAY	The Branch has accepted an invitation from the Fremantle City Council to participate in the ANZAC Day Parade through the City. Muster: At Green Park opposite the Esplanade Hotel by 0945. Dawn Service: Dawn Service 0530 Monument Hill, High Street Fremantle.. Would any potential, attendees please contact me with respect to the laying of a wreath. I have applied for 15 or so car park permits in the vicinity to the Esplanade Park so if you need one let me know. I have requested transport be made available for up to 5 of our frailer members (Standfast POD !) who are unable to march but wish to attend. Parking Vouchers are available from Paul Meakin or may be collected on the day. There is space allocated for those unable or unwilling to march in Jeeps, Chevy and Trams. 	TAS	ANZAC DAY	Muster at 1030 at the Treasury Building in Franklin Square (look out for the bright blue banner) Parade fall in at approximately 1050, step off at 1100 for the march to the Cenotaph and Commemorative Service On completion of the Service at approximately 1300 meet at the Navy Club for refreshments. 26^th April 2012	RAN WA	RPC FBW	RPC for USS Michigan during their second visit to FBW. Date: Thursday 26 April 2012 Time: 1400-1600 Venue: WO & SS Mess. 49th International Congress of Submariners
The All-Ukrainian Association of Ex-Submariners invites colleagues and their friends to take part in September 2012 in the 49th International Congress of Submariners. Congress will take place in the Ukrainian capital, the beautiful city Kyiv. You may participate in our traditional Congress, as well as get acquainted with the long history of Ukraine and Kyiv, the capital of the Kyiv Rus State and the present-day Ukrainian capital on the on the Dnieper riversides.

SUBCON 2013 - Welcome to North Queensland

Townsville 7^th - 10^th June 2013

The submarine community of Australia will be meeting in Townsville in June 2013 for four days of reunion and fun.

North Queensland is a beautiful part of Australia, with some real jewels in the way of holiday destinations. We have Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands in the south and beautiful Cairns and Port Douglas in the North. We would encourage members to take the opportunity to visit these locations as well as attending the functions in Townsville. Townsville is centrally located in the whole region.
